K.I.T. was created to provide families with safe, reliable transportation. My name is Melissa Kennedy and I have often struggled with having safe reliable transportation services. I am a single parent who has had the issues of having a child at school sick and not having the ability to leave work and pick them up. I had someone to watch them I just needed to get them there(does any of this sound familiar). Then there was the issues of my son wanting to participate in soccer and since I didn't get off work until 5pm and practice began at 4pm I could pick him up from practice, again if I could just get him there. Another example is one that daycares and parents alike have gone through. I found a daycare facility that I absolutely loved but they do not offer transportation services. So with a service such as this everyone wins. The daycare can now meet their clients needs and the parent can feel secure in their childs care.
In my own household I began to think about what would make our lives easier. I knew I didn't want a nanny nor could I afford one. So I brainstormed a little more and I wrote down how much time I was actually spending on the road taking kids to school, and other activities. Well needless to say it was a ridiculous amount of time that could be better used elsewhere. So I began to research and I decided that this is the best thing for my family and others.
